We used Instagram reels to promote our short form content. We released four short interviews with our cast and crew talking briefly about the project. The videos are linked below:

Hashtags
How we used hashtags to reach out to our community.
For each post we wanted to use a decent amount of hashtags, but not too many that it looked like there were too many. All the hashtags we used were related to that post just to keep them tidy and relevant. On most posts we used hashtags to link to the software and equipment we used to make the content. For example #premierpro is used quite a bit as it’s the main software we used to edit on. We also tried to do stuff that was linked to where we were filming for example MediaCity and the Kersal wetlands. When we had a spell of nice weather we added the #sunnyset as we thought this could be relevant and people might search it, looking at the analytics, we received more likes on this post than we do on our average post.
Analytics
A review of how well each of our posts did and why
We managed to get a total follower count of 57 on this platform. Even though we didn't manage to get the 100 followers to get a better insight of our page we are happy with what we got because we didn't want to follow lots of random accounts just to get followers as if they didn' react to our posts then it would make it look worse as it would make it seem like people didn't really like what we posted.
What we learned from our analytics. Firstly we can see that the posts that actually had our faces generated more likes than posts that were screen prints or photos we had taken on a photo. This makes sense as most of our followers actually know us. They are more likely to like photos with our faces in releasing us rather than just scrolling past and ignoring it. Next we learned that actually using relevant hashtags to the locations and type of say it helps drag in new people. This can clearly be seen when you look at the the posts like the sun burn and media city posts as we got impressions on them of over 200 and they are the only ones that include hashtags like #sunnyset. The one interactive story we did got a total of 15 interactions but we posted this early on before we got to 30 followers so having 15 interactions was quite good. Just a fact from our interactive post was that 7 out of 8 that said yes where males and 6 out of the 7 females said no to taking the usb. Overall instagram was a reasonably good social media for us to use as we got a good audience and a decent amount of them interacting with the post.
